Georgia Governor, Sonny Perdue signed a bill on Monday to outlaw the use and sales of synthetic marijuana, the most common brands, “K2″ or “Spice”. HB 1309 places fake marijuana on a Schedule 1 controlled substances list right along side Heroin and the natural plant it tries to emulate, marijuana.

Olympia, Washington Councilmen Arrested for Trafficking

In Olympia Washington, the mayor pro tem has been arrested for investigation of marijuana trafficking. Joe Hyer, the Olympia, Washington official, was arrested on Thursday at his home. It is being reported that a confidential informant had purchased cannabis at least twice from the Council man during controlled buys.

First a Starbucks Boycott Then a Federal Lie

Proponents in Colorado are calling for a nationwide boycott of Starbucks because they say the Seattle-based coffee company supports an organization that is trying to thwart the use of cannabis for medical purposes. Now, Starbucks is in the news again, time because the Office of National Drug Control Policy posted on their website that there were more medical marijuana dispensaries than Starbucks in San Francisco, only problem, there are less than 24 dispensaries.
