Drought In Mexico Leads to Drop in Marijuana Production

This year, a drought in Northern Mexico has gotten bad enough that it is now affecting the crops, including those that are illicit. Military officials, who wage much of the war against drug cartels and their products, say that the surveillance flights this year have shown large dry patches in land that is usually lush with illegal marijuana and poppy fields.

Two Different Medical Marijuana Proposals In Ohio

There are two medical marijuana proposals that are headed for Ohio’s November ballot this year. The Ohio Medical Cannabis Amendment of 2012 was approved on Wednesday by the Ohio Ballot Board. Now the group behind that effort can begin gathering the 385,245 valid signatures that they need from registered voters to get their proposal on the Ballot.

Polish Lawmaker Threatens to Smoke Marijuana in Parliament

In Poland, the leader of a new left-wing party threatened to light up a joint in Parliament in Warsaw on Friday. Janusz Palikot is trying to get soft drugs, like cannabis, legalized among other liberal ideas in his rather conservative country.
