Justin Timberlake, the singer and now A-list actor, was interviewed by Playboy this month and asked if he still smoked pot. Timberlake replied, “Absolutely”. He went on to explain that marijuana is the only thing that gets him to stop thinking, saying that sometime his brain needs to be turned off so he can relax. He added that some people are just better when high. Justin continues with the story of being punk’d on Ashton Kutcher’s show in the very first episode. He said he was so high when it happened, that he stopped smoking marijuana for months following the incident.
In the episode, Asthon Kutcher’s team pretended to be government agents that were there to seize all of his property, including his dog, due to unpaid income taxes. Justin almost cried during the prank and even called his mom to help him calm down, all to the delight of his friend Kutcher. Going back now and watching the tape, he told the playboy reporter that if you asked his friends, and they answered honestly, they would tell him that is the only way to get him as dizzy as he was in that episode.
He didn’t end his conversation about marijuana there. He went on to say that smoking marijuana is not a big deal, and said that any celebrity who admits to using cannabis knows that. He said that there are so many people that still suffer from reefer madness and the belief that cannabis is evil and will destroy the fabric of our lives. He says the truth is that it is a non-toxic plant, and that it hasn’t killed anyone and is now being shown to have amazing medical properties. Timberlake who is a talented singer and performer spent a decade selling out large arenas for his concerts. He has stepped away from his musical career to focus on acting.
