Cannabis- An App for That!

There are hundreds of thousands of apps for the Apple Iphone. One in particular is free and is getting some press this week. The name of the app is “Cannabis.” It is a multi-purpose medical-marijuana GPS. It maps the locations of doctors who prescribe medical cannabis, shows you the directions to the nearest medical marijuana dispensary, and highlights cannabis friendly lawyers and advocacy groups. If you don’t live in state where they allow legalized medical cannabis, the application on your phone will show you the location of advocate groups, including NORML and locations of lawyers with experience in marijuana law. The database for the app comes from a Patient ID center in Oakland, California and was produced for the group Ajnag – Ganja backwards – which cleverly stands for Activists Justifying the Natural Agriculute of Ganja. They are a online site for real time cannabis news and tout themselves as the cannabis lifestyle network. The application at one time was $3 dollars a month, but they are now offering it free of charge and have even added features like an activist page and action alerts as well. Just another innovative idea in the new world of ganjapreneurership.
